Golf Pride is the brand and is rubber the model is New Decade multicompound.
Many tour players use it and is the one that is red and black, but know they make it orange/black, blue/black, green/black, pink/black.

Don’t know about popularity, but, I prefer the Golf Pride, New Decade, Multi Compound. Softer on the hands (than straight cord grips), cleans easily with water, yet still provides excellent grip in wet or humid conditions. My second choice would be leather wrapped grips (like callaway does)- provide good grip (wipe dry very easily) but they are more difficult to clean.
Yeah, the other two answer are correct.
But I prefer Winn G8 grips, they’re rubber, but soft so they don’t hurt my hands and provide a good grip.
Winn grips are by far the best and most popular grips, they are leather.
By sheer selling statistics…..Golf Pride wins hands down. Most grips today (with the exception of Winn’s Leather) are made with composite materials. What ever you like best is what is best for you.
winn grips are not leather. they are a pvc compound. there are only two companies that make leather grips anymore. if you have never played with leather. spent the nearly 20 dollars each for the grips. then u havent had the pleasure. that would be about 260 bucks to get ur clubs gripped. if possible to be found out. more than half of the golfers dont even play with clubs worth 260 bucks. if you watch the tour players. a lot of them play the tour velvet or tour velvet cord. that is what tiger plays. winn grips wear out fast. yeah they feel good but if u play or hit balls at least 5 days out of the week like i do. then they just dont last.
Winn grips and Golf Pride grips account for about 95% of all grips sold. Leather grips are excellent for about 2-3 weeks depending how often you play. They simply do not hold up for very long. And they are very expensive. Golf Pride has a new grip out that is half cord and half rubber. Cord for your glove hand and rubber for the other. I think they are the wave of the future. P.S> If you don’t wear a glove don’t buy them.
